It's so good to be home again (*^*)/
Finally, I gathered enough energy to update this journal. I arrived two days ago; alive and in one piece 8D. It's been an exhausting journey on both ways but interesting at the same time. I had alot of fun and learned many things about life and the things I take for granted everyday. I'm thankful to God I have a place to spend my nights in, I have food on my table and I'm fortunate enough to have obtained quality education. People, be thankful for what you have. You don't realize the value of what you've got until you lose it or you see those who are less fortunate.
There were so much greenery. It's been a long time since I've last seen so much green colors in one place. I, also, got to meet so many of my cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives I didn't know they existed 8D but I was always hanging around older people. I mean, really, REALLY, old people. They were very interesting and had so many good stories to tell 8D.
So many things have happened there both good and bad but I'll spare you the details lol. There were lots of security problems where we lived mainly because our house is very close to a US base so there were lots of army caravans going in and out and these caravans are Taliban's favorite target. There were also occassional explosions and gunfiring everynow and then but thankfully, nothing serious around us. You can see how the blown up roads look like in the pictures below.
I'm glad I'm home back to my family, friends and you guys. Dunno about you but I missed everyone dearly. I missed seeing good artworks so in the next few days I'll be trying to catch up with the internets, answering mails and comments here and there, mailing people with their finished commissions, checking everyone's gallery and journals, updating my sites and checking my favorite artsites.
I'll leave you with some pictures I snagged from my sister's camera. Just in case someone out there was wondering what is it like in Afghanistan :D

I'll post more pictures in another post. These should be enough for now :D
I wish we could take more interesting pictures of people and such but being a girl in a place like where we went to is kind of difficult. You can't go out waving a camera into people's faces when you yourself are an Afghan. You'll be suspected for a spy if you do so. Strangely, they don't mind if some foriegner journalist take their pictures lol.
More importantly, I lost over 25 pounds 8DDDD;;; hahaaaha. If I've spent another 4 months, I'd reach my ideal weight just like that 8'D
